(Frequently Asked Questions about EZduzzit

I hope you'll find the answers to your questions here. But if you don't, just email me at jim@thebarbershop.com and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What the heck is this thing called EZduzzit, and what can it do for me?

EZduzzit is wild new way of generating HTML documents ("web pages"). Without any knowledge of HTML, scripting, protocols, "uploading", or other geeky subjects, you can quickly and easily create professionally formatted web pages and ezines.

I don't have a web site. I don't have a domain name. I wouldn't know an HTML if it hit me in the face. Can I use EZduzzit?

EZduzzit is made for you. You can quickly and easily create professionally formatted web pages and ezines without any knowledge of HTML, scripting, protocols, "uploading", or other technical things. If you can fill out a form, you'll be amazed at what you'll be doing with EZduzzit.

I already have a good web site. What does EZduzzit do for me?

If your website already has mail-in forms, automatically-tabulated polls and surveys, pop-up "help" windows; if your website already supports a fully-automatic on-line resource center (a "bookstore"); if you can update your website at any time, as often as you want; if you can restrict access to selected pages to the clients or prospects that you specify.... then you probably don't need EZduzzit.

I'd like to have those things. But I already have a webmaster. Why can't he / she / it give me those capabilities?

Your webmaster can probably provide you with mail-in forms and pop-up help windows. He / she / it might even be able to create a fully-automatic on-line bookstore. But when will your webmaster be available to do this work? How long will it take him/her/it, and how much will he/she/it charge?

EZduzzit puts you in the driver's seat. And using our pre-written templates, you can accomplish amazing feats in a remarkably short time. If you're a fairly good typist, you can even build your own fully-automatic on-line bookstore in about an hour. (If you're a slow typist, it might take you a couple of hours.)

My webmaster does cost me a lot of money. What does EZduzzit cost me?

Any way you look at it, EZ is a bargain. You can become an EZ member for only $17 a month for a basic membership, $27 a month for a Professional membership. And if you use one of EZ's extended payment plans -- where you pay quarterly, every 6 months, or every year -- then your monthly payment drops to as little as $9.

Try to hire a webmaster for $9 a month!

OK, EZ sounds like a bargain. But what if I try it and I don't like it?

Since EZ is web-based, there's no expensive software package to buy. Instead, you simply subscribe to EZduzzit. So there's no "up front" costs. You can start using it immediately, and whenever you don't need it anymore, you simply cancel your subscription. And if you've subscribed on an extended payment plan, I'll refund the unused portion of your subscription.

In fact, I’m so confident that you’ll discover that EZduzzit will revolutionize the way you use the web, I’ll make you an incredible offer....

Subscribe to EZduzzit and create some eye-catchingly awesome web pages. Publish an e-zine. Even create an on-line bookstore. Do whatever you want. And if, any time in the first six months, you are not completely thrilled with EZ, simply cancel your subscription and I’ll refund every cent you’ve paid --- no questions asked!

You have absolutely nothing to lose!

This all sounds too good to be true. There must be some "catch". What is it?

There is one catch. EZduzzit is a one-man labor of love. I, Jim Barber, designed the proprietary EZ database; I coded over 20,000 lines of CGI/Perl support software; I designed over 120 different web pages (including this one); and I wrote all the web copy.

That means that EZduzzit doesn't look as "pretty" as Amazon.com or Microsoft.com or OfficeDepot.com or other sites who employ dozens of programmers and copywriters and graphic artists.

But EZ works -- and, to me, that's the important thing.

There's another problem. Since there's only me, I can't offer much in the way of telephone support. (If you want to try, my number is 1-954-476-9252; however, if I'm coding or writing, I normally don't answer the phone.) I do answer my emails (jim@thebarbershop.com... almost always within 24 hours.

Those are the downsides to EZ. However, there is a BIG upside to EZ being a one-person endeavor -- it doesn't take a committee or a project analysis to implement a new capability. I can design, code, and implement a new capability darned quickly... sometimes in a matter of hours.

So if you need EZ to do something, just write me and I'll see what I can do to accomidate you. Kathy O'Neal of Celebration, Florida, wrote me "THANKS! It is so nice doing business with EZduzzit! I really appreciate the fast turnaround."

Here's a thought. If you need an enhancement to Word, how responsive do you think Microsoft will be to your suggestion?

One last question. What's the difference between a basic membership and a Professional membership? And how can I start using EZduzzit?

That's two questions. But that's OK; they're two good questions. Basic memberships are designed for individuals on a budget, while Pro memberships are for entrepreneurs and organizations that need extra power.

The specific differences are detailed on the registration page, but in general a Professional membership gives you all the capabilities of basic membership, plus....

  • Professional members have ten times the storage so you can archive past issues of your ezine, use lots of graphics, and produce hundreds of web pages;
  • Multiple people can access the same Professional account, so you can have your webmaster and your marketing person use your account at the same time that you're using it;
  • Professional members have the power to create an automatic on-line product resource center (a "bookstore") where your visitors can buy your electronic products (such as e-books), pay for them -- without your having a merchant account -- and pick them up, all automatically. (All you need to do is to go on-line occasionally to see how much money you've made!)

If you want these capabilities, you need a Professional membership. If not, a basic membership will probably meet your needs.

As for "how can I start using EZduzzit?", you simply need to set up your account (it takes about 5 minutes) and then read the "getting started" tutorial that you'll find in Member Services. You'll be creating fabulous web pages in minutes!
